Crispy Basa Fillet with Potato Gratin 🥧
My take on a fish and chips…. kind of…..
Start off by making a bechamel sauce from butter, flour and milk. Add in some parmesan cheese and cheddar or whatever else you have around.
Peel and slice the potatoes into small discs. Add 1/3 of the bechamel sauce to an oven dish and then place a layer of the potatoes on. Then add more bechamel and repeat. Add a bit of cheese on the top too. Cover with aluminium foil and place in the oven at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
For the fish, I seasoned them with some salt/pepper, paprika and garlic powder.
Then I made the crispy top by mixing breadcrumbs, parsley, onion powder and some parmesan cheese.
Add the fish fillets to an oven dish and then cover them with the breadcrumb mixture. Add a bit of olive oil on top to crisp it up.
I dont need to tell you how to boil broccoli…
